Independent writer David Drum began Burning Books Press of Los Angeles in 1984 with the aim of publishing his line of hand-cut, individually-assembled artist’s books, some of which are in major collections such as the Museum of Modern Art Library. The press expanded in 2010 to include original fiction and nonfiction in paperback and e-book form and later added a line of updated, previously published nonfiction called Vintage Wellness Editions.
